A docu-drama of epic proportion, with battle footage that will make you feel like you are there!
In order to feed the abolitionist fire and promote Lincoln’s un-popular war, Albert D. Richardson is on a mission to make the South look like an evil monster for Northern newspapers. As a writer for the New York Tribune, he’s assigned the task of reporting on Ulysses S. Grant’s western campaign and has a glowing report following the fall of Fort Donelson. While in route to visit Grant at Pittsburg Landing, Richardson is captured by Bill Forrest’s Scouts and taken back to Nathan Bedford Forrest cavalry camp. It is here that Richardson’s world collides with a Southern doctor by the name of Finas Bell.
To Richardson’s amazement, he discovers in the ranks of the Confederate Army are Negroes and other men of color, who have taken up arms against the United States. As Dr. Bell peels back the layers of truth, the viewers of this docu-drama will walk away with a whole new prospective of the American Civil War. This action packed film follows our characters from the beginning of the war, through the Battle of Shiloh. The plight of Dr. Bell’s family will pull on your heart strings without fail.
